My Wedding Jewelry
This bridal jewelry set began as something deeply personal.
I (Mehreen the Owner) originally designed this necklace, earring, tikka & Jhumar (side and front head pieces) set as a gift for my mother, who had lost one of her cherished bridal jewelry sets. She shared memories of what her original base metals looked like, and from there I let inspiration guide me—allowing tradition, sentiment, hopes of what my bridal look would one day be and creativity to come together naturally.
As the design evolved, I chose to incorporate green emeralds, natural freshwater pearls, and rubies. In Indian culture, red is a deeply symbolic bridal color, and I loved the unexpected pop of color the rubies brought to the necklace and earrings. To add a modern twist, I introduced rubies on a ear chain, reimagining the traditional beaded ear chain style with a fresh, modern detail.
What began as a gift soon became something even more meaningful...
A year later, when I was preparing for my own wedding, I chose a green bridal outfit for one of my wedding events. My mother surprised me by giving me the very jewerly I had designed—telling me she had been saving it for my wedding, knowing it would be perfect. Designing my own wedding jewelry had always been something I dreamed of, and the pop of red rubies was exactly what I had envisioned complementing my bridal look.

Creating my own bridal jewelry transformed the way I design for other brides.
