Materials:
- Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Yarn (Size 5 yarn)
- Polyester Fiberfill
- Stitch Markers
- 25mm Crochet Hook
- Yarn Needle (to close and attach button)
Abbreviations:
- MR: Magic Ring
- INC: Increase
- DEC: Decrease
- SC: Single Crochet
- SL ST: Slip Stitch
- CH: Chain
- *Repeat pattern in between asterisks until the end of the round*
Ball:
Start with Red Yarn
- R1: Make MR, CH 1, 12 SC in MR, SL ST into first ST (12)
- R2: *SC INC* (Place marker in first stitch after SC then INC) (18)
- R3: *INC 2 SC* (24)
- R4: *INC 3 SC* (30)
- R5: *SC* (30)
- R6: *SC* (30)
Switch to Black Yarn
- R7: *SC* (30)
Switch to White Yarn
- R8: *SC* (30)
- R9: *SC* (30)
- R10: *3 SC DEC* (24)
- R11: *2 SC DEC* (18)
- R12: *SC DEC* (12)
- Stitch closed with a needle
Button:
Start with white Yarn
- R1: Make MR, CH 1, 3 SC in MR, SL ST into first stitch (3)
- R2: *INC* (6)
Switch to Black Yarn
- R3: *INC*, SL ST into first stitch and end (12)
- Stitch the button onto the ball with a needle
Crown:
Start with purple Yarn
- R1: CH 12, SL ST into first stitch (12)
- R2: CH 1, *SC*, SL ST to close the round (12)
- R3: *Ch 4, SL ST into same ST
- R4: SL ST into next ST
- R5: SL ST into next ST*
- Repeat *R3-R5* five times (Crown should have 6 spikes)
- SL ST to close
- Stitch the crown onto the top of the ball with a needle
